In 2015, PCTV completed a renovation of its facility at 1300 Western Avenue on Pittsburgh’s North Side.  The renovation, which began in December 2014, includes the addition of a second studio, a classroom, an edit lab, an equipment room, and a new lobby and office space.  The project preserved the existing studio space.  The new facility officially opened to the public on July 1st.

The renovated facility greatly improves PCTV’s ability to meet its community mission of empowering, enriching, and enhancing the community through media.  City of Pittsburgh residents and non-profits are eligible to use the facility to create community programming for air on Comcast Channel 21, Verizon Channel 47 and on-line at www.pctv21.org.  With the addition of new space such as the classroom, edit lab and second studio PCTV will be able to provide expanded opportunities and services.

The new facility is also available to businesses and the general public for television and media production.  PCTV offers affordable production services and facilities to for profit businesses, filmmakers, or anyone else who needs to complete a video project.  The fees charged for these services go directly to supporting PCTV’s non-profit mission
