Studio Preproduction
Description
This class prepares producers for their first studio production. Learn all the ins and outs of producing in the studio. Required before booking your first studio production. This class is taught online on the following dates:

Field Preproduction
Description
This class is a starting point for PCTV members looking to get started on their first field production. The class provides an overview of all the things you need to think about when doing a field production. We recommend you take this before taking Basic Field Camera, Intro to Adobe Premiere, and Field Production Workshop. This class is available online anytime or sign up for one of the in-person classes below:

Basic Field Camera
Description
This introductory class covers the basics of operating the Canon XA35 field camera. Covered topics include menu operation, focus, camera shots & movement, use of tripods, use of microphones, and recording media. Members of PCTV who take this class will be certified to check out our Canon XA35 field cameras. The class will be held at PCTV’s studio at 1300 Western Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15233. Intro to Adobe Premiere
Description
This introductory class covers the basics of editing using Adobe Premiere Pro. Covered topics include file management, creating a project, importing footage, cuts & transitions, basic effects, color correction, chromakey, key framing, and exporting. The class will be held at PCTV’s studio at 1300 Western Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15233. Each class has three 3-hour meetings. Register for one of two classes this Winter:

Kristopher Veenis is a writer and producer who has over a decade of experience working on narrative and documentary productions. As a producer, he has worked on the Award Winning documentary film, A Shot to Save the World, which premiered on Smithsonian Channel in 2013. He produced EPK materials for the feature film, A New York Heartbeat (starring Eric Roberts). He has produced work for a diverse group of performing artists and nonprofit organizations including Attack Theater, Microscopic Opera, Holy Family Institute, The Grable Foundation, The University of Pittsburgh and Steeltown Entertainment Project. He also worked and mentored under Los Angeles based filmmakers Laura Davis, Tjardus Greidanus and Rusty Cundiff on three separate film projects.

Intro to Podcasting
Description
In this in-depth course for beginners, you will learn the basic skills involved in producing an audio podcast. This is a hands-on course that will help you plan, produce, and distribute your first audio podcast. The class will provide 6 hours of instruction broken down into (3) two-hour weekly class meetings. In between classes, students will be expected to complete assignments that will lead toward the production of their first podcast. Topics to be covered include content development & planning, recording, editing, and distribution & marketing. We will also cover copyright, branding, and video podcasting. The class will be held at PCTV’s studio at 1300 Western Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15233.

Kay "DPB" Bey is an entrepreneur, entertainer, producer, author, international award-winning videographer, Hip-Hop Therapy Teacher, Multimedia Studio Owner, and Roku TV Channel owner. Known for her 20+ years of service with her first company Just Pressin' Buttons Productions, she now reigns at her own studio, Grind City, which is located in Swissvale Pa. The studio houses a music-recording studio, photo and video studio, and a live stream TV studio.

Intro to 360 Video
This introductory class covers the basics shooting 360 video with the Insta360 ONE X camera. Members of PCTV who take this class will be certified to check out our Insta360 ONE x cameras. Darin DiNapoli is an Emmy Award winning director/editor/producer/motion graphics artist with 13 years of professional experience in the advertising/film & video industry. Aside from traditional storytelling projects, Darin has also been involved with producing innovative works including 360 video documentary films, and interactive media (games and short film). Darin owns and operates his own production company, DNAPPS Productions which specializes in content video development and production.

Podcast Class II – Intro to Stream labs (OBS)
Objective: learn the basic of live streaming podcast audio & video
The class will provide 3 hours of instruction in one class meeting used to record or stream online your audio and video sources with proper encoding. Learn the basic tools of Stream labs OBS software for recording and live streaming podcast
Topics: video/audio set up; template creation; streaming settings; must have Podcast Class I certificate from PCTV to take this class.
