As a staff member of the Pittsburgh
Community Television organization
since its inception, I have served in
multiple capacities including Trainer,
Studio Coordinator and Internship
Coordinator. In my current positions
of Program Director and Assistant
Director, I am responsible for overall
coordination of programming, playback,
the Community Bulletin Board and
Channel Guide in addition to assisting
in day to day operations and projects.

A graduate of Ohio University, with a Bachelor of Science in Communication, I chose this field frankly because I thought it would be fun. It's important to enjoy the job I do, because then it doesn't seem like work at all. I had never heard of access before applying for the job, so I read about it in the library. What I like about access is the potential for growth and social change in addition to its unconventionality. You never know what to expect. Community television provides a terrific opportunity for organizations to present their services in more than a 60 second sound bite or a 3 minute segment. It's an unparalleled outlet for individual self expression.
